Meet The Owner
Guided by Heart, Inspired by Connection
Anne is a self‑made hospitality professional and entrepreneur whose career began at sixteen and has taken her across the world. From managing hotels, mine sites, and restaurants to leading high‑pressure teams, she brings decades of global experience — and a deep love for people — to Lake Hill Estate.
A trained chef with a passion for wholesome, flavour‑packed food, Anne creates dishes that are both nourishing and unforgettable. Most of her menus begin from scratch: stocks simmered slowly, pastries hand‑rolled, spices blended by instinct. She’s forever experimenting with healthier twists on classic favourites, and her staff have become her enthusiastic taste‑testers whenever a new recipe idea strikes.
Anne also brings a playful, hands‑on approach to dining at the Estate. She hosts interactive dining experiences where guests can cook or assemble parts of their own meal — a signature offering inspired by her years abroad and her belief that food tastes better when you’re part of the process. Throughout the year, she runs small cooking classes, sharing techniques, cultural flavours, and the joy of making beautiful food from scratch.
Her dedication doesn’t stop at the kitchen. Anne personally maintains the grounds of the Estate, ensuring every garden, pathway, and corner reflects the same care she puts into her food. She’s an active member of several business groups and proudly owns a dumpling truck franchise — a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and her love of feeding people well in every setting.
Life outside the Estate is wonderfully full. Anne’s three teenage girls, two cats, and a dozen chickens happily claim whatever time she has left, keeping her grounded, busy, and laughing.
Today, Anne blends her Irish‑Fijian heritage with European influences to create celebrations that feel refined, heartfelt, and deeply personal. At Lake Hill Estate, her food, her leadership, and her warmth shape the experience from the moment guests arrive.
